Following the liquidation of Lincoln-based Bulgin Power Source plc at the end of 2002, VxI acquired the intellectual property rights.

Bulgin Power Source, was established in 1984 and its' rapid growth encouraged the parent company, A.F. Bulgin & Co. plc (now Elektron plc) to commission a purpose-built factory in the City of Lincoln, into which the division moved in the summer of 1990.

The Bulgin standard range of 12 and 24V AC-DC switch-mode PSUs includes both low-cost versions for volume applications and feature-rich high-end models offering output powers up to 2400W.
